I love Maple And Oak Designs. This headband is on my head right now as I am typing, and I seriously never want to take it off. How adorable is all of Maple And Oak Designs collection? Extremely adorable would be my answer. I love the pop of red this gives any outfit might it be casual or fancy. This is my Valentine's Day headband and I can tell you that they are so comfortable. I forget I am wearing it part of the time!

I am in love with this cape! Not only is the first cape I've ever owned but it is just so beautiful.

The material was amazing and so soft/satin on the inside. The design is my favorite. I love the patterns and it truly is a statement piece. I felt very elegant even pairing the cape with jeans. Ben Beautiful has so many wonderful vintage items that are truly one of a kind.

I love all things vintage! So for my 40th birthday, my husband (a really, great guy) threw me a 70's themed birthday party. Everything about it was a blast! I had so much fun shopping for my dress! I have not been able to stop shopping for great, vintage clothes since. 

When it came time to open my Etsy shop, I asked our 4 kids, "What should I name the store? I want it to be unique to us." They said, "Ben Beautiful!" That is the nickname they gave their dad. (Told you he was a great guy!) And that is how Ben Beautiful Vintage came to be.

About: 

I've always liked vintage clothing since a young age. I like how each piece has traveled many places and has a story to tell. I feel when I wear the clothes, I have traveled back in time whether it be a century or more. Though the surroundings change as the years go by to me clothing stays the same. They are pieces once worn by fashion forward fashionistas now years later they are re-used and worn my today's modern one of a kind individuals, they are timeless. Fashions come and go but it is the one who wears it that makes it stand out. I have been an avid thrift store, estate sale, and flea market shopper for many years. At all the places I have shopped at, I always gravitate towards pieces with color or unique designs. When I was in college I realized I needed to start selling some of my finds and I sold for 2 years at an antique mall. I started my Etsy shop on August 2nd, 2013. It is called Kites Fly Yellow, I named it after a poem I had written years ago. I want it to be a place I can share my finds with others so they could enjoy them. I strive to have affordable clothes that will become staple pieces in anyone's closet. I also enjoy watching movies and baking cookies, my favorite recipe so far is persimmon cookies :)
