Gift Guide for the People Who Love to Grill

For all of the grill lovers in your life!

Are you still behind in your holiday shopping? Here are three unique gifts for anyone who loves to grill.

Corn Griller BasketDesigned to grip four ears of corn in its steel frame, this handy basket makes it easy to maneuver and flip one of summer's favorite vegetables. Long handle keeps hands from the heat source.

Quesadilla Grill Basket: The heat of the outdoor grill cooks up quesadillas with smoky flavors, soft melted cheese and a crisp golden exterior. Our ingenious basket makes it a snap to flip and cook quesadillas on the grill without losing any of the ingredients to the fire.

Grill Clips: are perfect for asparagus, green onion, zucchini slices and more. So put away those skewers and just clip your veggies!

I can't wait to start grilling this spring!

Almost Christmas: Wrapping Nightmare

I am  the person who waits till five hours before I'm meeting the family on Christmas to wrap presents.

I am awful at wrapping presents! I love to use to much tape and paper. I need help.

While doing some research on my wrapping problems I came across a few helpful tips.

Lauren Conrad had the best DIY wrapping step by step.

Directions:
-Draw with sharpie on plain mug
-Place decorated mug in oven

-Turn off oven
-Do not remove mug
-After oven is room temperature your mug is safe to remove
-Hand Wash Only!

ShoFilms: Wedding

ShoFilms is a cinematic wedding video company that can make you cry on demand with each video. Anytime I feel stressed about the wedding I take a few moments out to watch ShoFilms videos and suddenly I'm feeling happy and excited.

This company truly has mastered the art of capturing true moments of the bride and groom on the big day. The interviews of the bride and groom speaking about one another just melt my heart.

If your planning your wedding or need a good cry watch this beautiful moment.

Peanut Butter Oreo Cookie Balls: Recipes

I was doing some "researching" on Pinterest for what to bake for Christmas presents and came across peanut butter Oreo cookie balls. What doesn't sound better than peanut butter and Oreo? I'm very excited to try out this recipe I found on Miss In The Kitchen blog.

Peanut Butter Oreo Cookie Balls
Ingredients:

1 pkg. (8 oz.) brick cream cheese, softened
36 OREO Cookies, finely crushed (about 3 cups)
1/2 cup peanut butter (I used crunchy but smooth works just fine)
1 package white almond bark melted
1/3 cup chocolate jimmies or sprinkles

Instructions:

MIX cream cheese, peanut butter and cookie crumbs until blended.
SHAPE into 48 (1-inch) balls. Freeze 10 min.
Dip balls in melted almond bark; place in single layer in shallow waxed paper-lined pan.
Sprinkle with chocolate jimmies or sprinkles.

REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm.

Second Grade Self-Portrait: Art Classroom

Second grade self-portraits is one of my favorite lessons to teach. Having students study different aspects of there face in a mirror truly is a new self discovery adventure for them.

They realize the details they have that make them unique such as freckles, birthmarks, and even missing teeth. I then have a step by step drawing example for each student to watch and try themselves.

It was amazing to see how similar the drawings looked like each student. Success! After the drawings were finished and everything filled with color students were proudly showing each other their artwork.

In this art lesson we discuss geometry, symmetry, asymmetry, and anatomy.

Here are a few examples:

Items you need:
Compact Mirror
Pencil
Eraser
Crayons
8 1/2 x 11 Drawing Paper
Pattern of a Large Oval

This is a wonderful fun lesson to have in the art classroom and at home!
